• Dog Walkers: Walk the neighbours' dogs for a donation; or dog sit while the owners are on vacation. This saves money on kennel fees which can then go towards making dogs safe!


• Sponsored Event: Sponsored walks/ bike rides/ runs/ swims/ not only keep you healthy but can raise lots of money! If sport's not your thing then there are plenty of other options. How about a sponsored silence or fast? You could even have a sponsored tidying up of your room! Don't forget to e-mail all your friends and associates for donations.


• Engage your Vet: Do you have a good relationship with your local vet? Find out if they would help you? Would they send a flyer to their clients asking for support? Or make a donation each time they neuter a pet?


• Matching Gifts: Ask your company to match what you raise. Some companies have a matching gift policy. Get others involved by alerting colleagues through the employee bulletin/Newsletter or Intranet.


• Pet Fashion Show: Have a pet fashion show where you give everyone's pet the opportunity to flaunt its favourite outfit. Charge admission and vote for best outfits (owner and pet), wildest outfits.
